Sistema de telecomunicaciones por cable submarino de fibra óptica Mar Bravo (Santa Elena) e Isla Santa Cruz (Galápagos).

Abstract

The purpose of the present titling work is to detail and highlight technical norms and recommendations, as well as to study and design a telecommunication system for submarine fiber optic cable which in the future by expansion of telecommunications networks will be of benefit to the habitants of the Archipelago of Galapagos. The submarine fiber optic link will have its origin in the beaches of Mar Bravo, Santa Elena province and will have as its destination the Santa Cruz Island of the Galapagos Archipelago. Throughout, in the development of this titling work, four chapters were executed, which are detailed as follows:  State of the art of DWDM and fiber optic technology, where its current global situation and operation were well known as well as its evolution and changes that have taken place up to now.  The specific and detailed description of each element, each part, of each recommendation makes this titling work a pivot for further research and development.  It is a challenge today to build underwater networks, technological advances and communications mark an exponential in the modern global era, but without neglecting the environment since it is important for life the preservation of marine species, native to its environment. Finally, the methodology that was used in this titration work was constituted in exploratory, descriptive with the experimental approach.
