Abstract

This research aims to give a critical look at the theatrical production of Guayaquil. The results of this research have been materialized in a document that addresses the problem of the production work of four theater groups in the city of Guayaquil "Behind the curtain". It shows the experience told by four scenic directories, who narrate the work that each member performs in a theatrical production; They also briefly comment on the start of their groupings. The general objective of the document is to gener ate the reflection from the experiential testimonies of these four theatrical directories of artistic groupings, highlighting the work of production and the effort that it costs to mount a work; In this way it is intended that the general public becomes aware of the complexity of the artistic process, value it and appreciate it. This research has been conducted using interviews with the directors; And within the results, one of the most significant is that they agree that there is no governmental support, however this is not for the emotion, the feeling and the vocation with which the artists perform their works.
