La ruptura amorosa y la elaboración del duelo en mujeres universitarias entre 18 a 25 años : acercamiento psicoanalítico.

Abstract

The study analyzed the grieving process in female university students and how this process affects their academic, emotional, and social functioning. The characteristics of love and romantic breakup were determined using a psychoanalytic approach, as well as how female university students cope with the grieving process and what subjective effects romantic breakup have on femininity. A mixed (qualitative -quantitative) approach was used, applying a questionnaire to female university students aged 18 to 25 from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil.The results indicated that romantic relationships play a significant role in university life, and the breakup can have an impact on the social, academic and emotional lives of female university students, generating a profound transformation after the loss of the loved one. Thus, it was evident that women, despite going through this painful time, also see it as an opportunity for self-discovery and growth in other personal areas.
