Tolerancia a la violencia de pareja en las relaciones de noviazgo en estudiantes de una universidad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

Tolerance in dating relationships is a problem of significant importance in higher education institutions, because it encompasses not only the social aspect of the student but also has consequences on the academic and psychosocial factor of the student. The objective of the present study was to identify tolerance in dating relationships in university students. The methodology applied was descriptive, quantitative, observational, transversal and prospective, the population was made up of 597 university students, so asample was applied for finite populations resulting in 234 young people, of which 70% (n= 164) are made up of by female students and 30% (n= 70) by male students; The instrument used was the Dating Violence Questionnaire (CUVINO-R). In the main results, a general tolerance was foundin9.7% of thesample, themain factors affectedwith tolerance to violencewerecoercion with23%, followed by detachment with 9.4% and sexual violence with 8.4%. %; The behavior that showed the highest percentage of tolerance was the love test to detect infidelity with 27%. It was concluded that there is no statistically significant difference between the tolerance to violence and the sex of universitystudentsandtheyoungageof 21to 24 years hasa greater tendencyto present tolerance to abuse.
