Abstract

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic affected many companies in Ecuador, leaving many with closure of operations, which leads to the untimely dismissal of human resources. For companies that continued with their active operations totally or partially, performing comparative financial analysis would give them indications of what the financial behavior of the company is, which would serve as an input for the respective decision-making; that is why this research work entitled "Financial analysis of the covid-19 pandemic effect on the private security company BODYGUARD SECURITY CIA. LTDA., period 2019-2021" is carried out, whose objective is to carry out a financial analysis, through a comparative process of the before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, in the figures of the financial statements of the company BODYGUARD SECURITY CIA. LTDA., which will allow us to know the financial reality of the company during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, due to the falta that the comparison will be made with the year before the pandemic. It will be possible to understand if in the company under study, there was untimely dismissal of human resources, variation in sales income, collection periods, payments, financial leverages.
