Análisis del uso del cine como vitrina turística en Ecuador.

Abstract

This essay analyzes the perspective of cinema as a tourist showcase for the country. Therefore, key aspects were determined on the impact that the country's film exhibition can have, as a resource for promoting national tourism. Based on the review of cases at the international level, certain political actions that could be implemented at the national level were identified, in order to sustain the potential of the national cinema as a tourist showcase for the country. The essay is based on information obtained from data collection, recorded from the joint work of the Ministry of Tourism with the National Cinema and through an interview with Ernesto Santisteban who was the director of the Ecuadorian film Verano no miente. Finally, certain aspects are raised that should be considered when trying to develop this way of projecting cinema in Ecuador, considering the actions that have been carried out in other places and that have contributed positively to its development.
