Abstract

The present title work "Duran Public Library" is located in the Guayas Canton, according to the different innovation programs for the city of Duran carried out by the Munici-pal Government of which one of them includes the design of a Library Park located in the La Ferroviaria sector, where an intervention is proposed that covers from the urban scale, passing through the architectural proposal and arriving at a constructive solution. The building is distributed through a series of modules releasing the largest amount of surface on the ground floor allowing continuity to the pedestrian flow forming a flexi-ble and polyfunctional unit giving adaptability to the plant. Open to outer space creating nuclei of integration and at the same time closed in the programmatic areas whose activity is accessible and inclusive to all types of age achieving social cohesion.
