Abstract

The development of the sanitary sewer system is vital for the sake of guaranteeing a high quality of life in the population through good operations and treatments over sewage water with the purpose of bringing down the risk of diseases and to promote a dignified and healthy environment. This document consists of the “Design and technical modeling of the sanitary sewer system from the urbanization “torres del salado”, located on the road “la costa” on the 11.5th km in the city of Guayaquil”. The design of the sewer system includes: network dimensioning, modelating with the AKUA software, and discharge alternatives, the first one is based on doing discharges to a collector that will be constructed soon by the company INTERAGUA, and the second proposal is using activated sludge water treatment facilities, in which the water will be treated and disch arged into the rainwater duct located northeast of the urbanization . Nowadays, there are educational institutions such as “Santiago Mayor High School” and a kindergarten called “La Granja”, both of these have latrines at the community, turning necessary th e construction and implementation of a sanitary sewer system to improve the quality of life of the population from the urbanization “Torres del Salado”.
