Propuesta para la creación de una empresa de soluciones de internet en la comunidad de Cheve Arriba.

Abstract

The present study analyzes the correct viability and feasibility of creating an internet solutions company which will take place in the community of Cheve Arriba, located in the province of Manabí-Ecuador. The digital divide that exists in rural areas represents a great barrier to social, educational and economic development, which directly affects homes, small businesses and educational centers. Through a mixed approach which combines quantitative and qualitative methods, a market analysis was carried out where factors such as the demand for connectivity, the total payment capacity for each of the inhabitants and the necessary technological structure were considered. The study determined that the business model based on radio links is a fairly viable and accessible alternative for the target community, with operating costs that are moderate and a high potential for adaptation to the demands of community members. Through the pest analysis and the Potter model, it was possible to identify opportunities and threats in this sector. The financial analysis also projected a positive ROI return on investment for the second year of operations while the marketing strategy plots a combination of digital projection and alliances with community leaders. It is concluded that this entire implementation of the service is quite feasible for both technical and economic points, thus managing to represent a solution that is equally sustainable in the provision of internet service.
