Abstract

In the current times that the country is going through, the issue of the legitimate use of force to combat common crime and the terrorists it plagues has become very recurrent. All the scenarios have been given to activate protocols that authorize the repression of this evil that afflicts; however, the police force is slowed down by fear of the legal repercussions that may exist when, in full use of the force that In true contexts it could not be controlled when the criminal or terrorist attacks the life of the police officer. In this sense, this work analyzes the current legal context to establish sufficient elements to guarantee law enforcement the due scope of the law that protects the actions of the police in situations of application of force with all the evidentiary elements that guarantee work and allow us to regain calm in the face of this serious situation that is increasingly claiming collateral victims and that must be stopped with the full force of the law.
