Determinación del riesgo a la salud pública por exposición a animales abandonados a partir de la percepción de los rescatistas de fauna urbana en la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

The following research work will be carried out with the objective of evaluating the perception of urban fauna rescuers about the public health risks that abandoned animals represent in the city of Guayaquil. The study will be of a non-experimental type of correlational type with a mixed approach. In turn, the sampling that will be used will be for convenience and snowball rescuers of urban fauna in the city of Guayaquil. The means by which the data will be collected will be the survey through Google forms, which will have two sections: demographics and perception. This instrument will be subjected to validity and reliability evaluation with the CVR' test and Cronbach's alpha. The answers will be processed through descriptive and inferential statistics in the INFOSTAT statistical program with the chi-square test with a significance level of 0.05. It is expected that this study contributes to improving the perspective on abandoned animals and encourages collective responsibility related to responsible pet ownership.
