Abstract

Currently, in Ecuador there are more and more cases in which Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is diagnosed, greatly affecting both families and educational institutions in which these cases are presented; It is for the above that this article aims to analyze the legal regime of protection for people suffering from ADHD in Ecuador, establishing in the first place a conceptual study about said disorder with the aim of giving a better understanding of the subject under study; likewise, enunciate the legal regime of international protection regarding health as a human right; as well as carrying out a comparative study with countries such as Spain, Mexico, Colombia and Chile to more broadly address the need for protection of this population group; and finally this article exposes the situation regarding the protection of people suffering from ADHD in Ecuador.
