Análisis de la potencialidad de la ciudad de Guayaquil como destino de bienestar.

Abstract

Wellness tourism is one of the fastest growing types of tourism and the one that generates the most economic income in the tourism sector. Its objective is to maintain or improve the personal well-being of the tourist during the trip, to pursuit that goal cities choose to improve the tourism offer and implement activities related to wellness in their destinations to attract visitors. The present study seeks to determine the potential of the city of Guayaquil as a wellness destination, which, through the analysis of supply and demand through surveys of 384 people who reside and are tourists in the city of Guayaquil and likewise , through the analysis of six specific parameters obtained from the surveys and the referential - theoretical framework, it was concluded that the city of Guayaquil has the potential to be a wellness destination, complying with 72,01% of 100% of the established parameters, however, the city needs to improve and meet certain criteria in order to be placed on the map as a wellness destination.
