Evaluación de la plataforma Be Mate como modelo de negocio colaborativo en la industria hotelera del Ecuador.

Abstract

The collaborative economy is a new trend that is positioning itself in tourism, especially in the hotel sector. However, these platforms are not well seen by this guild due to the informality by which they are characterized. As part of the legal framework, it was possible to show that the departments that offer tourist services can be formalized through the Unique Annual Operating License (LUAF) under the category guest house. On the other hand, the tools used during the collection of information for this research were surveys, interviews aimed at Guayaquil tourists, departments and a hotel in the city of Cuenca. From the analysis of the results, it was determined that the people who have been part of this research show interest in a possible alliance between hotels and departments, taking the Be Mate collaborative platform as a reference. Finally, strategies were proposed from which they derive to a business model that could be of great help for an alliance between hotels and tourist rental departments in Ecuador.
