Abstract

Artisanal production has an important participation in the Ecuadorian economic system and local development, both for the diversity of products they elaborate and commercialize and for being carriers of knowledge that is part of the ancestral culture. Based on the above, the objective of this project is to design an export plan through the National Board of Defense of the Artisan that allows to internationalize different products through a series of activities being these trainings in export under associations, fair trade and promotion through electronic information systems. A descriptive study was applied, since it is necessary to identify the current situation of the JNDA partners in terms of promotion and export processes, the study population were the artisans of the JNDA towards whom the surveys and interviews addressed to a representative of this entity were directed, whose main results allowed to determine that there is interest on the part of the artisans to incur in export processes, which is related to the fact that they have experience and support staff in case sales increase if they enter to compete in the international market, information that was verified with the respondent's response. The export plan in conjunction with the feasibility study of the project reflects that there is a significant opportunity for jewelry developer artisans to enter the U.S. market given that from Ecuador there are international agreements that favor this type of business.
