Abstract

A cost calculation matrix, focused on inputs, was designed and developed for small banana producers in the Yaguachi, in view of their lack of access to technology when organizing costs. In order to meet the project's objective, the requirements of the matrix were established and a characterization of the producers was executed through visits to the ministry of agriculture and livestock, agricultural warehouses and surveys that were validated by experts and whose results were statistically processed and differentiated with data from the ministry of agriculture and livestock. After obtaining the required information: data on producers and the inputs they use, a matrix was created with cost predictions and a comparison of actual costs with those proposed by the matrix. Consequently, it can be concluded that the matrix met the objective, but it is suggested to validate it once obtaining all the production costs of the producers.
