| dc.description | El presente trabajo se plantea en base a la situación actual por la que atraviesa el turismo, no solo en Ecuador sino a nivel mundial. A causa de la pandemia del virus COVID-19, se paralizó la industria, dejando así un vacío en la economía y poniendo en riesgo a las empresas que viven del turismo. Por lo que el World Travel Tourism Council, la Organización Mundial de la Salud y los Centros de Control y Prevención de las enfermedades, elaboraron protocolos globales, para que los viajes puedan re anudarse de manera segura y eficaz. Esta investigación pretende indagar en las nuevas necesidades de los turistas con el objetivo de brindar la mayor seguridad y organización al momento de viajar a un destino turístico de mayor demanda como lo es Galápagos. Siguiendo la línea de investigación de turismo consciente y sostenible, se busca desarrollar la obtención del sello Safe Travels, para destinos seguros. Una vez evaluado el funcionamiento del hotel Royal Palm con relación a los protocolos impuestos por el Sello, se procederá a realizar un plan de acción que garantice el cumplimiento de las normas y se pueda obtener la certificación de establecimiento seguro. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | This work is based on the current situation that tourism is going through, not only in Ecuador but also worldwide. Due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, the industry was paralyzed, thus leaving a recession in the economy and putting tourism companies at risk. This is why the World Travel Tourism Council, the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention developed global protocols so that traveling can be re activated safely and effectively. This research aims to investigate what are the tourist current needs in order to provide the greatest security and organization when traveling to a destination with greater demand such as Galapagos. Following the line of conscious and sustainable tourism research, the goal is to obtain the Safe Travels seal for safe destinations. Once the operation of the Royal Palm hotel has been evaluated in relation to the protocols imposed by the certificaction, an action plan will be carried out to guarantee compliance with the rules and the certification of a safe establishment can be obtained. | en_US |
