Actitudes y conocimientos hacia los métodos anticonceptivos en los internos de enfermería de una Universidad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

At present, the onset of sexual relations in the youthful stages is increasingly early and the use of contraceptives does not represent the same percentages, evidencing in many cases ignorance or lack of interest in the use of these Objective: To determine the attitudes towards contraceptive methods in nursing interns at the Catholic University of Santiago of Guayaquil. Design: descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional, prospective. Technique: Indirect observation. Instrument: Survey. Population: 60 Nursing female interns and male interns of the Catholic University of Santiago of Guayaquil. Results: regarding the sociodemographic characteristics of the nursing interns: female gender (82%), 23 to 27 years old (47%), single (73%); Attitudes: Acceptance (62%), indifference (36%), rejection (2%) in students; Knowledge: high (84%), medium (13%) and low (3%). Conclusion: It is evident that most of the inmates show an attitude of acceptance and high knowledge; But despite these figures, it is relevant to consider the rest have an attitude of rejection and low knowledge; It is necessary to consider feedback on the subject, which allows them to have a better attitude, in such a way that they can feel safe to take care of themselves and thus be prepared as promoters of health.
