Impacto del uso del lenguaje coloquial en el rigor periodístico del producto “Circo Electoral” del medio digital La Posta.

Abstract

The purpose of this academic work was to identify the impact of colloquial language and some of its derivations on the journalistic rigor of the content of the Electoral Circus segment produced by the Ecuadorian digital medium La Posta, taking into consideration that journalistic practices and processes tend to be modified given the freedoms of creation and elaboration of content that exist in the different digital platforms and social networks. It has been essential to define the theoretical bases that respond to the objectives set out in this research, which is why it was investigated in various conceptual sources that are related to the topics of colloquial language, journalistic rigor and ethics and digital narratives. The theoretical support was of vital importance for the design of a content analysis matrix where the selected sample was fragmented into specific fields under the parameters of the categories and subcategories that were defined. All the results were contextualized in the electoral political reality of Ecuador because the content of the audiovisual pieces was closely related to the participation and campaign activities for the 2021 General Elections. The work contains an extensive qualitative description of the content analysis findings obtained, mainly delving into the behavior of the digital medium and the way of presenting information of general interest.
