Abstract

The Enrique Tábara Cultural Center and Museum is projected as a necessary space for the promotion of art and culture and as a contribution to the community with free access, as support to cultural organizations and cultural promoters of the country, with the provision of a place to carry out activities that encourage research, education and culture and contribute to the cultural development of the country. The museum is designed on multiple levels to maintain an open green space for recreation. This design seeks to maintain the feeling of a 1-floor building while still having a vertical organization and the efciencies it offers despite being developed on three different levels. The building is projected as a series of volumes of rooms that rotate along a single pivot point. This rotation creates green terraces in which they go from the open spaces of the entrance to the last floor of the observatory. Below the rotating volumes of the exhibition halls there are a couple of large public levels with different ceiling heights. The main entrance of the building as well as its administration and passive recreation areas are located at these levels and are accessible from the front of the main street through the public square.
