| Résumé: | Biliary fistulas are an uncommon complication of biliary disease, the cholecystodial fistulas are the most frequent. There is the case of a 69-year-old female patient undergoing major surgical intervention complicated by finding a cholecystoduodenal fistula, treated at the Luis Vernaza hospital in the city of Guayaquil, in which the patient receives parenteral nutrition as part of the nutritional support treatment. The present work exposes the importance of nutritional management within the therapeutic approach by reviewing some general recommendations of the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition guidelines of the Spanish Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (SENPE) as well as the practical hospital application in the case presented. |
| Description: | Las fístulas biliares son una complicación poco usual de enfermedad biliar, siendo las fístulas colecistoduodenales, las que se presentan con mayor frecuencia. Se reporta el caso de paciente femenina de 69 años de edad sometida a intervención quirúrgica mayor complicada por hallazgo de fístula colecistoduodenal, atendida en el hospital Luis Vernaza en la ciudad de Guayaquil, en el que la paciente recibe nutrición parenteral como parte del tratamiento en soporte nutricional. El presente trabajo expone la importancia del manejo nutricional dentro del enfoque terapéutico mediante la revisión de algunas recomendaciones generales de las guías de Nutrición Parenteral y Enteral de la Sociedad Española de Nutrición Clínica y Metabolismo (SENPE) así como la aplicación práctica hospitalaria en el caso presentado. |
