La producción científica de la educación superior ecuatoriana. Propuesta de fortalecimiento para la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo.

Abstract

One of the big challenges that the ecuadorian university has to confront is to contribute to the development of knowledge from the substantive functions: Academy, Linkage and Research which are the reason to be of the university. The present society has been changing and evolving those demands to the university, academicians and investigators, to give answers that could help to face these changes in the perspective of the construction of the Good Live society. However, this challenge is one of the biggest problems that higher education has to confront because it is the least contribution to the scientific production. In the present work, it realizes a study of scientific production and it´s connection with the development to the Ecuadorian higher education, the investigation is centered in the Zone 5 and is focused at the Technical University of Babahoyo. The applied methodology was a mixed approach, realizing some interviews to the people who are responsible about the research processes and polls to the teachers of the Technical University of Babahoyo. It concludes that exists a priorization for the teaching rather than the investigation proving a limited investigation culture. Nevertheless, the big experience in the processes of classroom, formative investigation, tutoring projects, among others have not been gathered or systematized because they have not been constituted in contributions to the knowledge through the publication of those successful experiences. From this point of view it is prepared a proposal of systematization of educational experiences to contribute to the development of the scientific production of the UTB.
