Creación de arreglos para guitarra en obras musicales, aplicando las técnicas de arreglos de Joe Pass.

Abstract

This research proposes the creation of two arrangements using the techniques of orchestration and arrangements of the guitarist Joe Pass, resources that were found in two songs which were previously analyzed. It is a descriptive research which had a qualitative focus. The techniques used in this research were document analysis, transcription, analysis of scores and audition of the records to be analyzed, techniques that served to collect the necessary information, thus identifying the resources used by the guitarist. The songs to be analyzed were The Shadow of Your Smile and Just Friends of Joe Pass's Songs for Ellen album to identify and apply the melodic, harmonic, orchestral, rhythmic resources in two musical arrangements. This analysis allows the reader to understand the elements that were applied in the adaptation, and also to develop a learning process in relation to the analysis and the creation of arrangements.
