Aplicación de la estética surrealista como recurso narrativo para representar la reconstrucción de identidad, a través del cortometraje “te encontré”.

Abstract

This work presents the artistic, narrative, and technical proposal for the short film Te Encontré, a work that explores the processes of grief, depression, and healing through a surreal and symbolic aesthetic. The story follows Ady, a young woman who, after the loss of her mother, becomes immersed in a dreamlike journey in which she confronts her repressed emotions and reconnects with her inner child. Through a mise-en-scène that combines realistic settings with fantastical worlds, the project constructs a non-linear narrative in which production design, cinematography, sound, and animation work cohesively to represent complex psychological states. The research draws on references from fantasy and surrealist cinema, alongside theoretical foundations in the psychology of the unconscious and symbolism, demonstrating how audiovisual language can function as a tool for emotional introspection. Furthermore, the project proposes an optimized production approach that demonstrates the feasibility of creating oneiric universes with limited resources. In this sense, the short film also opens a space for reflection on youth mental health.
