Aportaciones de la ética del psicoanálisis en la detección de casos de abuso sexual infantil en instituciones hospitalarias en Ecuador.

Abstract

The research dealt with the contributions of the ethics of psychoanalysis in the detection of cases of child sexual abuse in hospital institutions in Ecuador. This research, of a qualitative nature, encompassed as a general objective to analyze the incidence of the ethics of psychoanalysis in the process of detecting cases of child sexual abuse in the Ecuadorian hospital setting in order to support ethical interventions in addressing the problem. Child sexual abuse was characterized through a bibliographic and documentary review where the ethical principles of psychoanalysis were established, highlighting the semi-structured interviews with mental health professionals and the detection process was detailed according to the protocols of the Ecuadorian hospital and judicial system in relation to the legal framework. It was evident that child sexual abuse has a profound impact on the subjectivity of the subject. The ethics of psychoanalysis is essential to support an ethical and respectful approach. The results highlight the importance of guaranteeing the uniqueness of each child, prioritizing the prevention of turning the child into a victim again through empathetic and ethical interventions. Participants highlighted how the ethics of psychoanalysis is a guide for psychologists who must respect the subjectivity of the subject by reducing the emotional and psychological effects related to the detection and intervention process. However, challenges were identified such as the bureaucracy of the judicial and hospital system and the lack of adequate training for professionals, which makes it difficult to properly carry out protocols such as the Purple Code.
