| dc.description | El mercado de pitahaya actualmente está teniendo relevancia para Ecuador gracias a su crecimiento en el mercado internacional y a la demanda por parte de Estados Unidos. Debido a este auge, es fundamental resguardar a los productores de este commodity puesto que se afrontan riesgos financieros como la volatilidad de precios dado a ser un mercado en desarrollo. Es por ello que, el presente trabajo realiza una propuesta de análisis de contratos de cobertura financiera, particularmente el forward, evaluando su efectividad por medio del modelo de árbol binomial y método por arbitraje. El objetivo es poder asegurar la cobertura de riesgos de los participantes de este mercado convirtiendo el sector de la pitahaya más atrayente. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The pitahaya market is currently having relevance for Ecuador thanks to its growth in the international market and the demand from the United States. Due to this impact, it is essential to protect the producers of this commodity since they face financial risks such as price volatility for being a developing market. Therefore, this work proposes an analysis of financial coverage contracts particularly the forward, evaluating their effectiveness through the binomial tree model and arbitration method. The aim is to be able to ensure risk coverage of participants in this market by making the pitahaya sector more attractive. | en_US |
