Abstract

The findings of this research provide valuable information about the perception of job insecurity that domestic workers have about their work, and it is essential to find ways in which authorities and society can address this problem by guaranteeing fair and dignified working conditions for these workers while respecting in this way their rights, since in this way the dignity, health and wellbeing of these women will be protected. However, at the same time, it is necessary to take measures to change these gaps of social inequalities in domestic work; In such cases, for workers who have been exposed to abuse by their employers due to the fact that they are women and due to certain gender roles that have been granted to them over time, resulting in a devaluation of their work. Domestic workers demand that labor standards related to their work be recognized and that their rights such as a decent salary, days of rest, flexible schedules, work spaces free of dangers and greater opportunities for personal development be guaranteed. The results of this study indicate that these rights are not respected by their employers and it is recommended to implement measures in which their rights are made visible and guaranteed and plans are proposed in which they are informed about them, in addition to creating movements so that these women can exploit its potential in other sectors
