| dc.description | El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como propósito fundamental la creación de una base de datos dentro de un sistema de información geográfica, orientada a identificar las características estructurales de los edificios ubicados en la Zona Antigua y Central del cantón Milagro, provincia del Guayas. Para lograr este objetivo, se empleará una metodología de investigación de campo basada en el formulario FEMA P – 154, el cual consiste en un examen visual rápido para evaluar la vulnerabilidad sísmica de las edificaciones existentes en la zona. El principal resultado esperado es la ubicación de las distintas tipologías estructurales en el software de información geográfica, así como la determinación de la vulnerabilidad sísmica de la mencionada zona. Estos datos serán fundamentales para establecer futuras soluciones destinadas a mitigar el riesgo sísmico en la Zona Antigua y Central del cantón Milagro, provincia del Guayas, contribuyendo así a la seguridad y bienestar de sus habitantes. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this research project is to create a database within a geographic information system (GIS) aimed at identifying the structural characteristics of buildings located in the Zona Antigua y central of Milagro canton, Guayas province. To achieve this goal, a field research methodology based on the FEMA P-154 form will be employed, which consists of a rapid visual examination to assess the seismic vulnerability of buildings. The main expected result is the location of different structural typologies in the geographic information software, as well as the determination of the seismic vulnerability of the mentioned area. This data will be crucial for establishing future solutions aimed at mitigating seismic risk in the Zona Antigua y Central of Milagro canton, thus contributing to the safety and well-being of its inhabitants. | en_US |
