| dc.description | En el presente trabajo de investigación se contempla un estudio para determinar el impacto que ha causado la guerra entre Rusia y Ucrania en el sector bananero ecuatoriano y sus exportaciones durante el período 2021 y 2022. Cabe destacar que, en la actualidad se encuentran concentradas las exportaciones en Europa, Asia y Rusia que representan el 60 % del total de comercio internacional del país; por otro lado, debido al cierre del puerto de Odesa en Ucrania, se tuvo que redirigir las cargas de banano a otros destinos, acción que desencadenó en una saturación del mercado por la disminución de la demanda. La reducción de la actividad de la industria se vio afectada con una contracción del 8.04% en relación con el mismo periodo en el 2021. En resumen, los efectos de la guerra a nivel de exportaciones derivaron en un leve decrecimiento, pero al evaluarlo del lado de los costos por las importaciones de fertilizantes al acrecentar los precios de energía medida por el petróleo y logística en general es un impacto importante en la industria bananera. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | In the present research work, a study is contemplated to determine the impact that the war between Russia and Ukraine has caused in the Ecuadorian banana sector and its exports during the period 2021 and 2022. It should be noted that exports are currently concentrated in Europe, Asia and Russia, which represent 60 % of the country's total international trade; on the other hand, due to the closure of the port of Odessa in Ukraine, banana shipments had to be redirected to other destinations, an action that triggered a saturation of the market due to the decrease in demand. The reduction in industry activity as a whole contracted by 8.04% at the end of the first half of 2022 in relation to the same period in 2021. In summary, the effects of the war at the level of exports led to a slight decrease, but when evaluating it from the side of the costs due to fertilizer imports by increasing the prices of energy measured by oil and logistics in general, it is a significant impact on the banana industry | en_US |
