Abstract

The project consists of the design of a School Forest located in Olón Yaku, it is located to the east of the Commune of Olón located in the northern area of ​​the Manglaralto Parish of the Canton and the Province of Santa Elena on the Spondylus Route. This project welcomes children, adolescents, teachers and researchers, in addition, a unique feature of the project is that it combines beach, sea, jungle and countryside, providing an ideal balance to live with a different lifestyle. This is why the proposed project is a place where users can attend at certain times to carry out scientific activities related to the observation and conservation of the protective forest. The architectural program is strategically implanted in the area near the access road, occupying the least amount of land possible and respecting the existing vegetation. The Forest School is designed for 370 people in total, between 50 residents and 320 day users of the sector. The project begins by observing all the empty spaces between the trees and thus delimiting them until a form is generated, then the different parts of the program are consolidated within these spaces. The areas corresponding to each part of the program are located within its delimited space, consequently, lines are drawn between the trees to generate changes that unite the different parts of the program, where the paths meet the previously delimited program areas and form squares. The project consists of 21 blocks scattered throughout the land linked by a dirt road that adapts to the topography and trees, it is not a linear route, on the contrary, it has very well thought-out curves, which direct you to the different areas of the project, makes it a beneficial tour and invites the user to go through it.
