Abstract

The shortcomings and lack of knowledge that are observed in the affiliation processes of the small producers of exotic fruits of the Amazon towards production associations, is presented as the main cause of the absence of an association of producers of exotic fruits, capable of grouping effectively to farmers in the region, hence the impossibility of projecting cooperative and coordinated production strategies that allow small farmers to develop the production volumes and quality standards demanded by the international market for this type of product. It is important to highlight the existence of traditional individual production models, which hinder the opportunity to change to a cooperative and updated production model, based on the use of new technologies and scientific knowledge, which is used frequently, by not promoting the association between small farmers of exotic fruits from the establishment of a standardized manual for this type of management in such a way that it is possible to transfer explicit knowledge to the producers about the importance of the association, to achieve a higher level of quality and competitiveness in the international market. The methodology used in the research is of a mixed qualitative and quantitative nature. Therefore, there is evidence of production levels and quality standards that do not meet the requirements demanded by the international market, in addition to a depressed capacity for creation and management by producers to belong to an association, in the same way it is important highlight the lack of a standardized management manual that guarantees the adequate and timely affiliation of small producers of exotic fruits from the Amazon to production associations.
