Análisis de la demanda de los servicios de salud del área de hemodiálisis del Hospital Naval de Guayaquil y propuesta de un plan de ampliación.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the demand for health services in the hemodialysis area of the Naval Hospital of Guayaquil through research for the proposal of an expansion plan, the methodology applied in this research is qualitative with a deductive method of the type cross-sectional, with a descriptive scope, the population considered was seventy-eight thousand members of the Social Security Institute of the Armed Forces corresponding to the province of Guayas and as a sample, patients from the nephrology area who require dialysis are taken as a sample. A total of fifty-six, an interview was used as a data collection instrument and finally the results were that from the interview carried out with the Manager of the hemodialysis area, he expressed the need to be able to perform a greater number of therapies to his patients since of the fifty-six patients requiring this therapy, only thirty of them received it. In order to perform in the hospital, the remaining twenty-six have had to be referred to external health providers and that by expanding the area and adding those values that the Social Security Institute of the Armed Forces has to pay to the providers the can collect the hospital and that the installed capacity is not necessary to cover the current demand, then from that, the proposal is made to increase the physical space of the hemodialysis area that can allow the placement of five more machines, to comply with unsatisfied demand.
