Nuevas formas para la simbolización y elaboración del duelo en tiempos de cuarentena por COVID-19.

Abstract

This present research proposes a psychoanalytic analysis of the different forms of symbolization of grief that occurred during the quarantine period due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the year 2020. For this purpose, we propose the collection and qualitative analysis of information through interviews to professionals specialized in the fields of medicine, sociology and psychology; as well as the bibliographic analysis of group cases at national and international level where symbolic acts have been performed as a response to the loss. The research starts from theoretical bases referring to topics such as mourning, funeral rites, quarantine and conceptions about death, with the purpose of formulating alternative approaches that allow the symbolization of the traumatism involved in the encounter with the reality of death.
