Abstract

The present research paper aims to carry out an analysis of how the institution and guarantee of Habeas Data has developed, when it is invoked by a legal person in Ecuador. In general guarantee and institution, aims to protect the information that belongs to the person, thus giving him or her total control over it and how it can be used. All this is due to the inordinate increase in access to information that globalization, through technology, has granted to all people in the world, regardless of whether they are natural or legal. In the light of the foregoing, it is recognized not only the right to have knowledge of the data, but also to be instructed in a truthful and timely manner, without any kind of distortion of everything contained in their records or databases, granting the person the ability to rectify, modify, delete and/or update, in whole or in part, any personal data that is necessary.
