Análisis del Tratado de Libre Comercio entre Ecuador y EFTA en el contexto del sector bananero del 2010 al 2020.

Abstract

This research presents a methodology of documentary bibliographic research, although of a mixed type, due to the analysis of data with the application of the correlation between variables. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the commercial relationship between the member countries of the EFTA bloc and Ecuador is not new; Well, without agreements, primary products such as gold have been exchanged; banana; cocoa; roses; shrimp and bananas by others from the manufacturing industry such as medicines and medical supplies in general. Until the third quarter of 2020, sixteen registered exporters were identified that have sold bananas to this market. Finally, the statistical study on banana exports from 2010 to 2020 detected a variation in the price of the fruit that does not compensate with the total tons exported, which implies that with the new trade agreement, this product would benefit from respecting prices of cash from the producer to the final consumer.
