Determinación de anomalías en gatos Felis silvestris catus a través de escalas faciales de dolor en dos Clínicas Veterinarias de la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

The continuous growth of diseases in cats of medium and small breeds has been triggered on the increase in recent years, thus creating a number of treatments and equipment that allow detecting diseases in short times. As a result of that situation, science has evolved in terms of feasible methods that allow to know in short times anomalies in felines, thus implementing the method of detecting diseases or discomfort through facial expressions that allow users to know with the naked eye if there is an anomaly or discomfort in the feline and even detect to what degree or level it is affecting the animal. This new procedure has made it possible to prevent animals from suffering diseases for a long time that can be treated in time. The qualification work was carried out in two Veterinary clinics in the northern sector of the City of Guayaquil, “Dr. PET Veterinary Clinic” and in the “Guayaquil Veterinary Clinic”. The work was tabulated using Excel sheet graphs, consisting of 2 groups of 30 cats in each one, giving a total of 60 study cats, then we proceeded to work with the graph, thus reporting the statistical data. Each cat was analyzed and rated through a scale of levels of ailments that are measured by the facial expressions that the cats show at that time. The results showed that the highest rate occurred in the Guayaquil Veterinary Clinic with 63 % in severe ailments.
