Abstract

The present work contains the design and technical modeling of the storm sewer system for the “Las Mercedes” lotization, belonging to the Guayaquil canton, located in km. 24 via Daule, Guayas province. This project could be considered important for this community since it has a high level of rainfall, so flooding can be observed throughout this town every winter, thus affecting the quality of the road and creating a focus of diseases. The storm sewer system is a set of pipes and secondary installations that collect and conduct water from the rain, belonging to a community, and helping to expel the water and avoid possible problems such as floods. This system is very important in locations where there are high rainfall rates and highly impermeable surfaces.
