Proceso organizativo de las mujeres afrodescendientes que habitan en el barrio Nigeria de la ciudad de Guayaquil para dar respuesta a la crisis producto de la pandemia, en el año 2020.

Abstract

This work characterizes the organizational process of Afro-descendant women from the Nigeria neighborhood of the city of Guayaquil. Through the use of a qualitative approach, exploratory level, a hermeneutical method and a type of applied research, the perceptions of the 15 Afro-descendant women who inhabit this neighborhood and who make up the group called "Esencia Afro" were investigated to thus take elements that contribute to this characterization. Through the collection of information, which was given by the use of focus group techniques, semi-structured interviews and SWOT, it was observed that among the elements that influence these women to create social organizations, there is empathy, solidarity , the social ties and the limited responses that the State gives to solve the problems that arise there. These women contribute significantly to society and to the people to whom they direct their actions, thus contributing to the construction of collective resilience. The cultural elements of Afro-descendants play an important role in this process, insofar as they are used as coping mechanisms and means through which identity is created and strengthened.
