| dc.description | El Virus de la Leucemia Felina y el Virus de la Inmunodeficiencia Felina son virus comunes en gatos alrededor del mundo, siendo estos las principales causales de muerte en gatos tanto hogareños como callejeros. Para su diagnóstico como objetivo general del presente estudio, se realizó una prueba de inmunoensayo por cromatografía a 100 gatos atendidos en la veterinaria Pet Angels, donde se demostró la presencia de las enfermedades en 25 pacientes, además de, observar cómo se comportaban los parámetros sanguíneos de línea roja y blanca en los animales portadores de estas enfermedades. Siendo este estudio no experimental, descriptico y correlacional, se aplicó el método de Chi cuadrado para el análisis correlacional de los parámetros sanguíneos escogidos y la sintomatología con el fin de verificar la relación de estas con las enfermedades en estudio. No se encontró significancia estadística en la relación de estas variables, pero, se concluye que, la prevalencia encontrada es preocupante debido al incremento de gatos como mascotas en nuestro país. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus are common viruses in cats around the world, being these the main causes of death in both home and street cats. For its diagnosis as a general objective of the present study, an immunoassay test was performed by chromatography on 100 cats treated in the veterinary Pet Angels, where the presence of the diseases was demonstrated in 25 patients, in addition to observing how the blood parameters behaved of red and white line in animals carrying these diseases. Being this non-experimental, descriptive and correlational study, the Chi-square method was applied for the correlational analysis of the chosen blood parameters and the symptomatology in order to verify their relationship with the diseases under study. No statistical significance was found in the relationship of these variables, but it is concluded that the prevalence found is worrying due to the increase of cats as pets in our country. | en_US |
