| dc.description | El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad analizar el comportamiento mecánico del mortero reforzado con fibras de abacá previamente tratadas con un 3% de solución de hidróxido de sodio (NaOH). Se ha determinado el tamaño y dosificación óptima, el mismo que corresponde a 3,0 cm y 0,2% de fibra de abacá con respecto al peso de los sólidos. Es importante mencionar que la fibra de abacá utilizada en este trabajo presenta resultados interesantes en comparación con otras fibras, se han desarrollado ensayos de TGA, tracción, Absorción de agua; considerando que no existen normas establecidas para fibras vegetales. Por otro lado, se analizó el comportamiento mecánico del mortero con resultados prometedores lo cual nos lleva a coincidir en que futuras investigaciones serían necesarias con el fin de analizar el comportamiento de fractura, el cual se trató de llevar a cabo, pero presentó ciertas dificultades. Adicional, se sugiere un análisis de durabilidad para investigaciones futuras. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The present research has the purpose of analyzing the mechanical behavior of reinforced mortar with abaca fibers, previously treated with a 3% of NaOH solution. It has been determined the most accurate size and dosage, the same that corresponds to 3cm and 0,2% of the total solid’s weight. It’s important to mention that the abaca fiber used in this work shows interesting results in comparison to other natural fibers. TGA, traction, and water absorption has been performed to the fiber. On the other hand, the mechanical behavior of mortars reinforced with abaca fibers has given promising results which leads us to promote future researches with the main objective of analyzing fracture, the same that was performed in this investigation, but for some reasons it couldn’t be achieved.
