Análisis de los factores que influyen en el costo de tratamiento de hemodiálisis de los pacientes atendidos en un Hospital del Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social enero-mayo 2018.

Abstract

Chronic renal failure is considered a catastrophic disease that must be treated through the application of adequate resources and the ideal treatment in this case hemodialysis. The present investigation was carried out with the objective of determining the factors that affect the cost of the hemodialysis treatment in the patients attended in the General Hospital of the North of Guayaquil of the Ecuadorian Institute of the Social Security (IESS) in the period January-May 2018, to achieve it We worked with a qualitative-quantitative methodology with a descriptive scope seeking to know the properties, characteristics and important features of the phenomenon analyzed, and not experimental since the researcher does not intervene in the studied phenomenon, he only describes the observed; the analytical -synthetic method was applied in order to analyze the information collected through research instruments such as clinical histories and interviews directed to personnel in the hemodialysis area. The proposal was the realization of a training program about resource optimization and cost reduction in hospital management, aimed at the personnel of the hemodialysis area of the General Hospital of the North of Guayaquil, of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS).
