Cumplimiento de las actividades por los profesionales de enfermería en pacientes con evento cerebro vascular en el área de emergencia de un hospital general de la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

The cerebrovascular event is a neurological disease that causes a high percentage of deaths in people who suffer from it. The prognosis of these patients is not at all encouraging since the complications can leave the patient with some disability, usually of a motor type that will negatively impact their quality of life. It was suggested that in order to favor the effective recovery of these patients, the nursing activities carried out while they are hospitalized are fundamental, being the main objective of this research work: To describe the fulfillment of the nursing activities in patients with cerebrovascular event. Descriptive-quantitative-prospective-transversal methodology; Research area: health and well-being. Research subline: management of nursing care. The population: 30 nursing professionals who work in the emergency service, the instrument collection information was used a direct observation guide. The results showed that the activity that most fulfilled the staff was the water balance, with 67%, while the activities that were least met were the postural changes by 8% and the control of vital signs by 10%, activity that was observe to be carried out frequently by the nursing assistants. Conclusion: According to the results obtained, it was found that there was a deficit in the fulfillment of the activities corresponding to the nursing professional towards the patient with cerebrovascular event, which were performed by other health professionals, who were not trained to provide direct care.
